I first discovered Aqua Massage about twelve years ago at the mall in Amarillo. I had returned to college to learn American Sign Language and finish working on my degree in early childhood and elementary education. I was counted as two full time students and working, at the same time, to pay for my college. I volunteered at my church to work with the children also, so, I felt the tiredness, body strains and tensions from working long hours, the stress from assignments and having to do presentations in class and I thought, “Why not?” I only needed to remove my shoes, empty my pockets, remove my glasses then, lay face down on the massage table. WOW! It was amazing and I was hooked, especially since I was beginning to get one of my mind torturing migraines that could last for days, and I felt much better after having the massage.
I have to tell you, I didn’t like the exposure of being in the open at the mall. Sometimes I felt like an animal in a zoo exhibit with people watching as I got my massage. It didn’t stop me from traveling to Amarillo to get my massages, but I would have preferred somewhere more private. The benefits definitely out weighed my discomfort.
When I decided to bring the Aqua Massage to Clovis I chose to put it in a location away from the crowds. I like it better here at our location where you can come, relax, and reap the benefits of the massage without curiosity seekers looking at you.
As I did more research I found there are many benefits for having a massage. Aqua-massage is a great way to improve circulation and improve your sleep. Besides what you would expect from a massage; reduced pain in muscles and joints, decreased muscle spasms, and an increased rage of motion and flexibility, there is relief for people suffering with fibromyalgia, arthritis, and migraines.
You may be wondering why I would want to start an Aqua-Massage business here in Clovis, New Mexico. After my third massage in Amarillo, I would tell the man running it, that he needed to bring the Aqua Massage to Clovis, but he didn’t. He retired a couple years ago, to my great disappointment, and increase of migraines. I tried going to someone for a massage. I felt really uncomfortable having to undress and having someone touching me. That’s me. I know there are lots of people who love to go for a “hands-on” massage, but I know there are lots of others, like myself, who are not comfortable with that and miss out on the benefits of a good massage because of their discomfort. With the Aqua-Massage you don’t get wet, you don’t undress, and you don’t have someone else touching you. You have control over the settings to personalize your massage from a gentle light massage to a more intense pressure and pulse that can relieve soreness in your body. Ahhhhhhh! That is all I can say for my experience of regular massages with the Aqua-Massage. It has helped me and I wanted to bring it to Clovis to help others experience this for themselves.
I want to make it easy for you to slip in for 15 to 20 minutes on your lunch hour and leave relaxed and refreshed for the rest of your day. Our hours 10:00am-2:00pm allow you that opportunity. We are closed 2:00-3:00pm for our lunch. If you prefer you can come in after work, we are open Wednesday - Saturday until 7:00pm. Mondays and Tuesdays are by appointment only, to give me the opportunity to run errands, but I will be here for you whenever you schedule your appointment. (To schedule an appointment click on the "Schedule It" below.) If you find you love it as much as I do, you can schedule a standing appointment to meet your needs. If you find in the afternoon, maybe after a day working on your lawn, chasing children, or whatever you do, that you need that massage NOW, we take walk-ins Wednesday- Saturday, all day.
I would like to help you find the benefits of feeling great again. Come in and visit us. We want to be a blessing to you and help you.
Blessings and peace to you!
